245 torslanda estate, k reg spares or repairs. 100 quid
myself and torslanda recently took a 240 from nissanfan, with the intention of making a good car between his, and ours.
we are going ahead with this plan, but thought we'd offer the other car on here, since they're both good solid shells. we'll keep it as a running, driving car to make it easier to uplift. we're not sure exactly which shell we'll be getting rid of, but it'll prolly be her one. there is still tax on it, but i can't remember when until, i think it's the end of march ? could confirm that. definitely no mot. there's no major rust, just some bubbling around the arches. couple of minor dings, on the back wing, and front wing, where the car was vandalised, a brick was thrown through the front window, so the window is new, but it did bounce across the little panel in front of the screen, someone also took their key down the side. a new exhaust will definitely be required, we'll be keeping the good one, the other is blowing, but a repair bandage should see you home without too much trouble, the middle box is pretty rotten, but nothing is in danger of falling off !! there will be 4 torslanda alloys, 14" all with good tyres the wheels would benefit from some cleaning !! the interior will be dirty, again, we'll keep the better of the 2, i haven't had a good look at it to see if it would clean off, or what kind of stains they are. the lambda light is on, but the car runs ok with the lambda sensor disconnected. it hasn't been used for about 6 months, as it was having some rich running issues, but disconnecting the sensor seems to have solved that !! the car should be available to collect on the 1st february. we won't be able to tell you what it needs for a test, cos we'll be too busy finishing the other 240, along with my herald. but, for 100 quid, you get a running, driving 240, with a good engine, box etc. please note, if there is no interest in the car, due to having no storage, it will be scrapped. since kirsti has loved and cherished it, she can't bear to see it go away on a hi-ab !! i'll be examining the 2 cars on sunday, so can answer any questions after that, and will try to put up some pictures.

i can't really take offers, or accept dibs yet, purely because i don't know exactly what i'm gonna be selling !! this post is just really to test the water, see if there's any initial interest.
i'd suggest to you if you're interested, to subscribe to the thread, then i'll post up once i know how good or bad it is, and it's first come, first served !! i had hoped that would be this sunday, but a weather forecast of wind and rain might interfere with that !! checked the tax tho, and it is 31/3 it expires.

ok folks, the weather was nice enough today for me to get out and have a look at the cars.
initial impressions were correct, and it will be kirsti's car which goes. photos can be found here, http://www.flickr.com/photos/quattro...7612673020447/ the tax is valid until the end of march. mileage is around the 190,000 mark. good strong engine, no smoke or rumbles. it did have a bad oil leak, but it turned out to be the "o" ring at the dipstick seal. no whine from the diff either. it would take quite a lot to make it into a top class show car, but for a couple of hundred quid spent on it, it'll make a perfectly useable car, it does have a towbar, and working electrics. any other questions, please ask. it should still be available on sunday 1st february for collection, but we could hold it for a short time if need be. i'm offering it on here in the hope somebody will save it, but if there's no serious interest, it will go on ebay, or to the crusher.

no interest ?
a running, driving car with 2 months tax for 100 quid ? if there's still nothing tomorrow, it goes on ebay, which prolly means another 240 will go either banger racing, or to china as a 3 foot cube. last chance guys.

The heater is fine, never had any problems with it. No leaks. Works on all settings.
Cheers Kirsti

due to losing a couple of weekend's work to bad weather, we still have this car.
we'll be working saturday, and at the rugby sunday this weekend, but the car should be available next sunday 15/2. it's still first come, first served. please note tho, if you're coming a long way, the radiator seems to have started leaking, i can't see where from, i'll stick some radweld in it and that should hopefully seal it.
