...Insurance?
Well, since I was pretty young I've always desired after an Volvo 122s so as 19 year old Uni student rapidly approaching a Industry Year(well ok, its a year away) I've started to seriously look at purchasing one.
However I suddenly realised that I'm not sure about insurance, do regular insurers insure/have sensible prices on Classics, or do I need to go specialist insurers as just having a quick browse a few specialists say that I need be over 21. So just wondering if anyone has any experience or suggestions! I know its a year away but having read through many forums etc. the advice always seems to take your time and not rush in to buy, this is a tad extreme time scale I know but I'm quite excited, so if anyone is selling a reasonably priced 122s please pm so on. Sorry if this post is in the wrong place so please feel free to move it Cheers Marc |

Make sure you've found out about insurance costs before you take the plunge. Most are likely to reject you outright and the others will want to restrict you with regard to usage, garaging etc. Your postcode may not be in your favour either. If you do manage to find someone to accept you with this car as your only vehicle the cost may still prove to be more than you want to pay.
I'd be very happy for you to prove me wrong with some cast iron quotes so good luck with your search. |
