Did the reset again and did t said down a second or 2 later, done a 40 mile journey where I know it jolts etc, still doing it, the worst is around 30mph from 4th to 3rd, 3rd to 4th also but not quite as bad, revers does not seem as bad but deffo still a jolt. I have a feeling I have an engine mount loose or sommat else cause once the engine bay is warmed up I can hear a sort of jolty knock but that's not the gearbox as its not warm enough for that to start up, perhaps the drive shaft bolts? I deffo bought a lemon

Damn, do i have to also Activate Adaption too, i only did reset adaption, only just seen that when i got in and looked at the lappy again

Just found this post He says lower down that it applies to the 6 speed too, so perhaps i need do this?

In this paragraph that i have highlighted in red, it says sommat about a spanner, whats that all about
AW55-50 Shift Adapt Procedure
The AW55-50 transmission uses adaptive learn technology to adjust shift pressure and line
pressure which controls the feel of up shifts, down shifts, the neutral control function and
garage shift engagements. Performing the adaptive learn procedure is necessary whenever the
transmission is rebuilt or replaced, the valve body is replaced or the TCM is replaced. The TCM
is always adapting, but at an extremely slow rate. To quickly clear and relearn the adapts, the
TCM must be placed into the adaptation mode.
Performing the adaptive learn procedure on a Volvo requires a VIDA, (Volvo factory scanner),
to put the TCM in the “Control Module Adaptation“mode.
The TCM will not go into adaptation mode unless the transmission oil temperature is between
150F and 230F. The TCM will not adapt in Geartronic or Winter Mode. While the TCM is in the
Adaptation Mode, the orange triangle in the center of the instrument cluster will flash when
the adapt is complete for a particular shift.

I don't think you want to activate adaptations yet, that's a long process of driving with Vida on and much fannying about. Just clear the adaptations memory and that should be enough.
I changed my jerking TF80 GB oil at about 225k miles as my car was almost undriveable when hot gear changing or selecting reverse.
I let the new oil settle in the reset the adaptations, mine is 90% better then it was three years later.
I need to do mine again so I have a drum of Mannoll in the barn waiting for that day!

Mine took a while to settle down, the gearbox will adapt on it's own after a while but clearing the adaptations memory will make it settle down quicker if it's going to work.
