Default Intermittent Starting!

Hello! So recently my D3 has developed an intermittent starting issue, usually when the fuel level is low, now I know what everyone is going to think but I'm not talking on fumes, I mean somewhere in between 70-90 miles of range.

First time was a few weeks ago, I drove for about 20 minutes, stopped at a shop for a few minutes prior to going to the fuel station, got back in the car and it wouldn't start, cranked over quite happily but no starting. After a few minutes and a few tries it fired up.

Next time was last week, my wife took it out and same thing happened, then she went to put fuel in and it wouldn't start again, this time for good and the AA were called.

They couldn't get it going and so recovered to my local garage, took the car off the back of the truck and it started!!

Garage have had it for a week and a half now with no joy, every time they've looked at it it has started and driven fine!!

Diagnostic code P0091-16 came up but once cleared it hasn't come back!

Any ideas or previous experience would be greatly appreciated!!

Issues like this can be tricky to resolve. I presume when you say 'local garage', this is not a Volvo dealership? If not, it might be worth getting a Volvo diagnostic carried out as generic code readers often aren't very useful for identifying the actual fault.

You don't mention the age of your vehicle, but someone on here may have VIDA and be able to read the codes for you. If not, a trip to a Volvo dealer may be needed.

Good luck, I hope you get it sorted soon.
