Default Engine oil?

Hey guys and girls,

engine oil change is due in a few months, I was wondering what is recommended for my car, 2011 S40 with D3 engine. I know that 0W-30 goes in it, but no exact product.

Also, how much should I buy?

0w/30 , A5/B5 and 5.7 litres castrol edge if you have a choice

I did an oil change a few weeks ago using 0W30 A5/B5 as Clan says, but I used F U C H S and a Mann filter -

Bought the oil from Opie Oils (https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-986-fuc...ngine-oil.aspx) and the Mann filter from EuroCar Parts. Mann make the filters for Volvo, so I've always used them on my cars.

Note - mine is a D5, but I think the oil requirement is the same.

Fuchs is good stuff.
Theres a discount for here for opieoils too, think its VOLVO10 iirc, though at the mo they're running 15% off first order.
They sell edge too. Which is indeed great oil but overhyped (and overpriced unless on a silly offer).

If you use one of the big players, you wont go wrong whatever you pick so long as spec is right.
Fuchs, Castrol, Mobil, Motul, Shell, any of those will see you right, so go by what deal you can find or any personal preference.
