Default Exhaust fumes

Hi Everyone

I am sure I am getting diesel exhaust fumes in the cabin........

Is this possible?

It's a 2013 AWD D4 SE LUX, in good nick with good door seals etc

Any ideas??

Thanks

It is possible with any car. You'd have to check for exhaust leaks including those in the engine bay.

There are many YouTube videos showing how to find exhaust leaks. Good luck.

Check the boot is closing tight as this is where I used to get it from on the Landrover until I fixed the seals - which looked ok on visual inspection

Default Oily/Diesel smell in cabin

I have had similar issue and exactly the same car ('13 D4 AWD SE LUX), but it is more noticeable when the Aircon is on auto and recirculate. I will occasionally notice it when I come back to the car and I've left the vents open and the engine has been off but cooling down. It is not always there, and on somedays, there is no smell at all.

Previously on this forum someone suggested that there was possibly a leak in the gearbox seal and the fumes were coming up, but I have not found this but I have not found this..
