Frozen door locks?
Never had this before, admittedly it was -8 overnight. Pre-heated car as usual, unlocked car with the key (I don’t have keyless entry) - lights came on as usual but the usual “clunk” of the door locks unlocking didn’t occur. Initially thought door seals were frozen, as that’s not unusual and often can be unstuck with some gentle persuasion, but not budging today even after pouring warm water around the edges. After repeatedly locking and unlocking the car the near side rear door unlocked, and I was able to climb inside to open the front doors using the interior handles. Drove to work, parked up, pressed lock on the key, lights went off as usual but the doors haven’t locked. Opening them sets the alarm off. I reckon the actuators/solenoids that lock the doors have frozen. Any ideas?

Crap in this day and age that things like this happen when it get a little bit cold!! Like you say, likely the actuators are frozen. Don't know if trying to squirt some deicer into the actual lock mechanism on the door shut would help?
It would cost so little to have a mild heating element in places like this that would come on to just stop this. I remember years ago BMW had little heaters in the door locks, didnt use much in the way of power as all it did was keep the temp above freezing.
