Adaptive cruise....

Anyone with a 23MY notice that the adaptive cruise has phantom braking moments??

Just wondering if this is a characteristic due to them moving the radar to the grille. My previous 20MY did do it, but mainly on bends where it would pick up (especially trucks) on the nearside lane.

This car, I can be driving on a completely straight piece of motor/dual carriage way and it will just brake, nothing in front of me!

I've not experienced it on mine as of yet!

I've also had a MY20(also a SUV) before and it did sometimes let go of the gas for a brief second on sharper bends when you had traffic in a nearside lane as you mention. It never really did break though, just let go of the throttle for a second, before continuing. I never had it actually break by mistake.

I wonder if it feels more severe as I'm in B mode, heavy regen. Might try my next motorway run in D mode.

I guess in that case if it would get confused and let go of the "gas" for a second, it might indeed feel like it did break. I have tested very little B mode and never use it on faster roads, but I'll try and see if I notice something!

Yeah I think thats been the issue, Im normally in Hybrid mode, in B, cruise, sees a car, lets off gas but regen makes it feel much more severe. Need to remember to switch to D.
