Are 460's really getting that rare?

I'm currently looking for a 1.8 or 2ltr 460, however there seems to be literally NONE of these cars around my area. I'm near manchester and ive been following the sales of 460s on ebay and autotrader and on here for a while now, and i have never seen a car that isn't over 100 miles from me. I know there isn't many about, only 1777 according to howmanyleft, but are they really that rare to be seen being sold. It sounds silly to say this is the car i REALLY want, but it is. I also just don't find the 440 that appealing. Can anyone shed any light on why these cars have become so rare? thanks
