Cheaper parking sensors.
Hi
I had a problem with my rear sensors beeping continuously if they were wet. Volvo wanted £70 a sensor. I phoned this company I found on ebay. They sold me 4 replacement sensors with Volvo stamped on them for £90 including postage and a 10 guarantee !!! I fitted them today and they work perfectly. I followed a very good replacement guide on the forum, but this guide is for the pre facelift so there are a couple of differences if you have a facelift. http://m.ebay.com/itm/151490113814

Update.
When I tested the sensors yesterday I didnt have the engine running and they worked fine. With the engine running I get a continuous beep. Very strange. I'm sending them back. Very good customer service. Definitely worth trying though.

Hi All, just wondering if anyone else has tried these parking sensors and whether they worked ok?
I too am looking to replace a couple of sensors and the Volvo ones from the dealer are incredibly expensive. Are they worth the extra? Kind regards Lucien |

Too many horror stories with the eBay sensors. I'm going to order proper Volvo ones from Simon at FRF.

It's not worth the time and effort risking buying cheaper sensors. Trust me, I know !
I'm now realising it's not worth trying to save money on a XC90. After market parts that seem to cause problems include pads, discs, fuel filters and sensors.

There's a big difference between Genuine and Genuine OEM (original equipment manufacturer). It's irritating that on e-bay etc. parts suppliers described stuff as "Genuine OEM" when it's most unlikely to be "OEM" or of the same quality.
