2019 V60cc - Boot Strut

Hi, opened the boot on my V60 this morning (-6deg) and there was a sudden bang where the spring snapped on the left side.

On closer inspection the spring has signs of surface corrosion and has now overlapped causing the plastic sleeve to split.

Auto close function can't close the hatch and stops half way. Closing from there on needs the manual touch.

8months outside warranty but my local dealership have offered 50/50 on the replacement cost of £400.

If anyone has part no.32357571 fitted then it would be worthwhile having these checked.

I had the same problem last year. The new strut is different, and both were replaced under warranty.
