Default Amp and instrument cluster questions

Hey all Had my 2015 V0 d4 for about 6 months, and to be honest Im fairly happy with it. Negatives, 16" wheels are tiny, but tyres are much cheaper, and Im on a cheaper run for the time being (covid and all that), sound is pretty lacking compared to the Bose system I had in the audi, and the fact I seem to need to top up half a litre of oil every few k is somewhat annoying.

All said though I like it.

Questions

1. Can I replace the instrument cluster with the LCD active one, ie a straight swap (mine looks the same but is not LCD)
2. Is there an amplifier upgrade available for the stereo system.
3. Where the hell can I get a replacement gear knob, its a 6sp manual, and the silver part on it has all worn away and now has little prickly bits sticking up.

Thanks all.

.

Good thread on amplifier upgrades here: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=288566

I went the DIY route using the same gear that the original poster had professionally installed. Straightforward enough if you're OK with a bit of DIY and soldering/electrics etc.

Really worthwhile upgrade which also allows for a bit of fine tuning through the PC interface to the DSP/Amp

Default New gear knob

Found a website called skandix very good guide for spare parts though they get shipped from various areas of Europe.

https://www.skandix.de/en/spare-part...rcoal/1067419/

I think the above link is the part you might be looking for. They have loads of different styles of it's the wrong one.

With regard to the TFT clocks install, you need to check out D5T5.com, where all sorts of hacking madness will excite your sensus (see what I did there !!)

Skandix are good, bought quite a few bits from them over the years
