Looking for an alternator for the s60 t5 2001. Mine decided it no longer wishes to work!

If you take off the battery negative lead then remove the brush pack from the alternator, you may just find worn brushes which could be remedied with a new brush pack/regulator unit.

You rarely need a whole new alternator.

I ended up removing the alternator from the car and checked the brushes - bang on, they'd worn down.
New brush kit fitted and reassembled, now getting 14v+ when running, much better. Thanks for the heads up.
