Default D4 Engine re-map

Hi Guys. Has anyone had a D4 engine re-mapped ? Probably looking for improved economy on my XC70 (not that it's bad). Not really looking for more power, but also don't wish to have a power reduction. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.

Volvo offers re-mapping for many but not all Volvo’s under the name Polestar. Their aim is to improve power and performance without affecting economy or emissions.

If you’re looking just to improve economy but without affecting performance, then Polestar might not achieve this.

Other XC70 owners might assist with more useful information than this, but firstly you need to share more information about your car, such as year and month of registration, engine size, whether it’s AWD or FWD, and whether it’s manual or automatic.

You won't get any better economy that you are getting now .. Obviously the manufacturer maps it for best economy as that gives the lowest emissions too ..
just travel at 60 mph instead of 70 +

Thanks for the information. Getting just under 50 MPG on a run, so that economy is good. I was really just wondering if the layout could be justified.

Probably not , for power yes , but economy is down to your right foot , hills , Eco tyre pressures , correct oil , ambient weather conditions , types of journey , properly maintained car etc ..👍
