Good lads in there. Was a David too, but since lock-down not spoken to him much. I always have had good prices, but will be interesting to see how things compare now. (Stoneacre policy v Mill policy) |

Here's a picture of the part number on VIDA 31302603, but it looks nothing like the Nivomat and here's the plate off the car which I can get the number marked as 48 ??

Sometimes the Vida image of "the part" is not the right image. I have been thrown by this in the past. This may be the case on this occasion. I googled the part No (31302603) and on the skandix site it came back as a nivimat.

Yes, as the old shock absorbers were totally knackered. Its certainly "tightened the car" up, if that makes sense.
Don't expect the V70 to go around a corner like a sports car though. It still leans in the corners, but not as much as before.

So got price back from volvopartstrade on eBay £2345 plus £15 postage. So I guess the dealer isn't that far away and the parts are just what they are.

I agree. Their parts dept. staff have always been good to me.

You'll be getting the same parts from volvopartstrade (Mill Volvo, now known as Stoneacre), or go to your local dealership & pay more for the same parts. Also, you said in your original post that you decided to get a quote for the shock absorbers etc. Are the shocks actually knackered? Are you planning on keeping this vehicle long term & how old is it? I wouldn't think of spending that amount if I wasn't keeping it, or if its getting old.
