240 GLT saloon for sale
ok so I have taken in px a 240 glt saloon, same owner for 9 years, mot until sept 2020,runs and drives well. This is a rolling resto project that can be used and repaired in stages to suit time/money conditions.
Good bits; heater, wipers, radio, power mirrors all working fine,it had new calipers a couple of years ago and they work well, five original alloys, original paint, door pockets are unbroken, all dash works, engine and autobox working fine, recent new alternator and exhaust, drives well with no rattles or knocks, inner sill, jacking points etc are good, apart from the bit mentioned below the floor is very good, one headlamp is good, generally very original. Bad bits; n/s front chassis outrigger needs welding at outer end and where it joins the main chassis rail (both small areas),both rear wheelarches look ok-ish but are starting to go,needs doing before they get bad, back ends of outer sills are ok but have some rust starting-need treating now before they get holed,o/s/f wing has corrosion at the lowest point at the front of the wheelarch-repair rather than replace I think as it's localized rust, drivers seat bolster is taped up so the leather will have worn through here, heated seat does not warm up,front disc backplates have holed but there is enough there to repair if good ones are not forthcoming, one bad headlamp reflector, clocks have been changed, correct mileage will be around 260k(showing 157) Ramp inspection welcome but I think I've covered most things! £800,long shot but things I would p/x ,20ft metal roof sheets, tyre racking, pair of S70 1997 black leather heated front seats with working heater pads(must be very clean) |
