Manual to electric seats
Can anyone confirm that swapping front manual seats to electric ones works? We found some good seats, but before spending few hundred €, we would like to hear from someone that made this work.
By comparing connections under the drivers seat to another Volvo (xc70 2016 - this one has electric seats with heating), we saw that everything is the same except the pin number 3 - see pictures below (in wiring diagram this connection shouldn't exist, i don't know about that). We have DICE, but the car is not in Vida, because of the engine (D5244T20). We have VDASH though, so we will decode CEM and upload VDASH software for heating seats and also add buttons to the console (or whole CCU has to be replaced with one with those buttons?). I'm guessing power seats will work plug and play as there are all connections and fuses and only software modification is needed for seat heating? Questions sum up: 1. Will power seats work? 2. Will memory function work? With and without keys. 3. Will seat heating work? 4. Will airbags work (after clearing all DTCs)? 5. If new CCU unit doesn't have buttons for parking sensors, steering wheel heating etc., can you just swapped those from the old unit?
