cam belt for 850

hi all, can anyone tell me how much the cambelt would be from volvo main dealer. also does anyone no if the parts department would be open on a sun.

No they arent open sunday and the belt for yours would be around £65+vat I asked about it I was quoted £50 something as I needed the other sized belt. You may get one from the aftermarket parts store like europarts

Europarts the cam belt is £22.15 for the 148 tooth or £29.42 for the 139 tooth

if you are changing the Belt, you will really need the whole kit, which includes the Tensioner and other parts. Last time i was quoted the whole kit, but a NON dealer kit, was £120.

You would also be worth changing the water pump whilst you are in that area

it soon mounts up into a costly job

pump- tensioner was done at 70.000 am i right in saying its evey other change, found this on ebay.

lou sounding by the way you say your pump belt/tensioner was changed at 70000,i take it you have the 5 cylinder diesel engine, if so there are 3 tensioners that come with the gates cambelt kit,(£80) you have had one replaced on the diesel pump only, theres another two that go on the timing belt side then theres the main fanbelt tensioner which is worth replacing if you dont know when that was last done

A full genuine kit from us at FRF in Swansea, will cost you around £77 after discount if I remember correctly (retailing at over £100), though price may vary slightly depending on the correct part numbers for any particular car. This kit consists of the volvo genuine Timing belt, the tensioner and the idler.

Water pump is optional extra but I can also supply that with a large discount.

hi no the car is petrol, have the bill from 2003 for £900 from volvo at the millage of 70.034. summit like that. now on 136.000.

hi simon, have had parts from you b4, will get back to you m8, as we found out the belt that is on the car has been replaced after the 70.000 one. if that makes sence, but will get back to you when needed.
