Default Obd 2 reader for park assist service required.

Hi All
I have a Park Assist Service Required warning message on my V70 2011. I have replaced the module (with a used part). Warning still displayed. All sensors clicking with BOTH modules. Sensors have been cleaned.

I’m looking for a OBD2 reader that can help shed some light on my problem. Anyone got advice on a good one to buy. I have other cars from other manufacturers so a generic OBD2 is the way that I would like to go.

Thanks!

Must assume your preference is expressed in the cause of saving money. Debatable whether your preferred course of action is likely to be the optimum. Most generic OBD2 readers deal with engine codes. The Volvo VIDA software covers all ECUs in the car and reports all recorded faults together with the suggested repair procedure and access to the complete parts list. Admittedly the VIDA/DiCE set up is sold on the "grey" market and you can have an interesting time installing it on a laptop, but it will do everything you need and something as marginal as the parking assist system is unlikely to be on any generic reader. If you are lucky, someone may come along and say otherwise but it's unlikely. A DiCE cable and VIDA software will set you back about £50. There is a forum member cheshired5 who sells a no hassle unit but it may cost a little extra. Worth it if you're not comfortable with computer installations.
