Having just got around to reading the Volvo Extended Warranty documents, there seems to be a duplication of what we may already be entitled to?

The policy states:
Servicing must be undertaken in accordance with the Volvo service programme.

Additional benefits included, are:
Recovery charges.
Replacement vehicle.
Overnight hotel expenses.
Emergency travel.
Continental use, etc.

With getting our cars serviced by an Authorised Volvo Dealer, we automatically get another years Volvo Assistance, which, to the best of my knowledge, includes the above benefits.

Should something go wrong, who do we contact first:
Volvo Extended Warranty or Volvo Assistance?

Dealer has finally come back to me and said they can do the 2 year warranty for £890. Anyone think there is any negotiation on this price.

Car is in for service and mot tomorrow.

Then insurance have arranged for the car to go into Ford dealer for repair on Wednesday.

I've received a card (apparently) from Volvo offering one year for £445 payable as one annual payment or 10 monthly payments of £44.50.

If a 2-year warranty is £890 and assuming a one year warranty can be renewed for year 5, signing up for 2 years is seemingly of little benefit other than to protect against a future price increase.

A more attractive offering would be a 2-year warranty payable over 20 months at no extra cost.

Yes, I thought £890 was a bit expensive.
I know the XC90 Extended Warranty, is slightly dearer than the V90, but not by this amount.
I paid £745, for my two year extension.

I went for the one year, as im thinking of trading in next year. But it was definitely £795 for the two years from the dealer direct, they do it over the phone then you get the docs in the post. Give Strathmore in Perth a ring, they've always been extremely helpful when i've used them.

Yes. I enquired last year, when I took up the five year service package, for which I paid £599.

They said I didn’t need to take it up until the car was nearing three years old, but I might do it sooner rather than later.
