Default EGR valve & cooler replacement

I have just had the EGR valve replaced on my 2012 V60 D2; now I have a leak meaning that I need a new EGR cooler too, due to be fitted on Monday.
The car has only 51,000 miles on the clock, most days travelling 72 miles.
Is this the expected life of these particular parts?
The car has a full Volvo service history.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thank you.

Maybe they have not put the clip on properly where the cooler fits to the egr valve they are supposed to use a new clip . The Cooler is very robust , go down and get them to point out to you the exact problem so you can understand it , where it is broken for example !
