Very good day out, thanks to all those who put time and trouble into organising it.
Nice to meet some more people from the forum, and put faces to names, not that I'll rememberf who was who... I never was much good with names, and I'm sure I'm getting worse... early onset alzheimers?? Weather was kind, couple of quick showers, Large dose of nostalgia finding things in the other field like an Austin A50 Cambridge, like our old family car, a couple of A35's (Marion's family car in her childhood), Mk 1 cortina etc. Hell, weren't the engine bays simple then! Still can't believe the junk that some of the trade stands try to sell, did anyone buy that V70 towbar btw? M25 on the way back was a car park, with the matrix signs warning of spray, queues, and flood, so we seemed to have had a fortuitous escape at the showground. If we do it next year, I'm thinking of bringing my camping cooker, and some buns, burgers, bacon and eggs, kettle and some tea!

What a suprise - Ryan's car has it's bonnet up as usual............... Great day chaps (apart from Alec's poor jokes!), and I think we left just in time judging by the torrential rain that I encountered about 5 miles up the M40 that left 2" of standing water and slowed us all down to 30mph. |

Wadda you mean poor.... flipping abysmal jokes I thought.... I reckon I was lucky to get away without being strung up from the easy-up scaffold!
Good day, lots of useful information gleaned again.

I was really lucky, I'd just turned off the M11 when the torrent of rain came down. By all accounts the motorways really suffered. Note to self for next time------Bring my own food, £5 for a drink and a burger!!!!!!!!!!!!
