Sorry to hear about that, but only you can make that decision.

If you do go ahead and break the car, I might be interested in the Eibachs (855) and RICA ECU depending upon the price. Also the turbo if its a 16T with angled outlet?

Cheers,
RT

Are you sure it isn't just the oil cooler in the rad that has failed? If it has then its a 100quid rad, a days work and flush the engine, job done.

Might be worth checking, just in case as it does produce the same symptoms as those you described.

Gutted along with you mate, sorry to see it come to that this but I can't argue with your logic. I know you'd put a lot of time, effort and money into the car after you bought it from me and it was looking really good, such a shame the HG let go

Cheers,
John

True, but messing around with 13 year old cars sometimes carries that risk. At the very least she served me well - moments to cherish include toasting a 968 Clubsport with a (and I'm not joking) chest of drawers in the boot and a maaaahoosive drift in Tescos car park during our recent snow

I'm taking a small diesel hatchback flavoured break from Volvo's for a little while, too much to do at home for a while and anything larger than a 4 banger doesn't make sense for what few miles I'm doing but I'll be back at some point, maybe with a S60 T5 or possibly a German-esque V8 jobbie (your bad influence John!)

**** it's just sinking in.....

Sorry mate, picked up a D4D Yaris - 65MPG and £35 tax was too tempting and it'll do my better half when I buy something silly again.

I feel so cheap and nasty though
