Default GLT Estate wanted

I would prefer an auto but a manual would do.

I have £600 to spare and I'm in Manchester.

You could ring me on 07723919796.

Yes, GL and GLT have the roaring 2.3 fuel injection motors.

And GLTs have the leather seats and alloy wheels.

Default Now looking to swap/exchange a saloon for an estate

I am picking up a grey GLT auto saloon today.

I still want an estate but I need to get a car today because my days off are fortnightly.

So I will be looking for a good GLT auto estate to swap or exchange.

The saloon is in very good condition, at 105k.

I could still buy an estate but would now need time to arrange the sale of this one.

Here is the description from the ad:

I HAVE FOR SALE MY VOLVO 240 GLT WHICH HAS JUST GONE STRAIGHT
THROUGH ITS MOT AGAIN EVERYTHING WORKS INCLUDING THE HEATED SEATS THERE IS A SPOTLESS SPARE ALLOY IN THE BOOT EVEN THE ORIGINAL JACK IS STILL WITH THE CAR

I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED THESE CARS AND IT IS A SHAME TO SEE IT GO BUT IM NOT USING IT AND IT IS DOING IT NO GOOD JUST SAT IN MY GARAGE

AS YOU CAN SEE THE INTERIOR IS MINT THE OUT SIDE NEEDS A GOOD CLEAN MORE THAN I AM PREPARED TO DO I HAVE TAKEN CLOSE UPS OF ALL WHEELS AND ARCHES

THE CAR ALSO HAD AN OIL CHANGE WITH FILTER AND ALSO NEW FUEL FILTER WAS GOING TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS BUT IT RUNS SMOOTH SO NO POINT.

THIS VEHICLE HAD A SERVICE INC CAMBELT DONE AT 101116 MILES WHICH WAS LESS THAN FIVE THOUSAND MILES AGO.
IT HAD NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS, OIL FILTER, SPARK PLUGS, FUEL FILTER,
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID AND OIL WHEN THE CAMBELT WAS DONE
IT HAS A PRETTY COMPREHENSIVE STAMPED SERVICE HISTORY IN THE FOLDER WITH THE MILEAGE NOTED ON EACH STAMP AND THE DATE.

THE VEHICLE COMES WITH TWO SETS OF KEYS AND ALL DOCUMENTATION.

nice one - i saw that ad as well. i hope the saloon is as good as it looks.

i'm looking for a decent estate, but with manual transmission, but i'm not desperate so i'm waiting for the right one to turn up.

though it means i spend roughly an hour every day online trawling through a stack of websites looking for new additions.

i bid on a torslanda on ebay a few weeks ago and it went up by £800 in the last 10 minutes, then the next one i bid for was sniped away at 8 seconds before the end of the auction. i hate ebay.

Well.....

The first thing I noticed were the dings in the boot lid.

There were three advisories on the new MOT for a bulging tyre, corroded brake pipe and CORRODED HEADLAMP REFLECTORS! None of which had been fixed, and then to top it off, NO TAX! (It was advertised as taxed till Aug 2011), so I couldn't have driven to home If I'd wanted to.

Oh and the electric aerial didn't work.

It was suggested that I could tow it home.

Other than that, it was in good order.
