It does sound a little bit different from first to last but that in itself may not mean much as the sound can be different depending on which cylinder you read.it might be worth compression testing each cylinder in turn , if you have bent a valve you should see a marked reduction in the compression figure for a damaged valve. the compression readings definitely should be very similar for all cylinders.
Did you check the timing before your screwdriver video?
if it runs ok and doesn't smoke badly it's probably ok. Compression test would prove each cylinder.
Good luck mate, keep us updated. We are all rooting for you on this one.

Its running on 5 cylinders, build it up and drive it, worst it will do is go off a cylinder. Bent valve would mean it would be off a cylinder now

Sounds normal if mine is anything to go by ie: noisier at number 5 (nearer the vac pump?).

Im getting a mate at work to make me up some cam and crank locking pins with his lathe . I really need to make sure it is timed 100% right before I can go any further . If after that it is still running rough then it is almost certainly a bent valve or 2 that is the cause.
