Default V40 Door Plate Nut, Cargo Net Lower Clips

Hi All,

I'm currently chasing down two parts for my newly acquired V40.

One is puzzling even the volvo garage.

I have a bolt sticking out of my drivers door below the lock.

Upon taking the door apart, this appears to be attached to a covering metal plate that supports the drivers door handle.

It's not on the passenger side and on an earlier example I found at the local scrap heap it's also missing. The passanger door has a rubber plug where it would emerge, were it there.

It's scraping paint off every time I close the door. So the door needs adjusting, but I need whatever goes on the end of this bolt! I assume its some sort of nut with a rubber cover to protect the door.

Vadis has no clues either that I can see.

Secondly, I've got the roof inserts for the cargo net and dog guard installed, but I don't have the lower clips that hold the cargo net on the wheel arches in the boot.

Anyone know where I can get these or what I'm asking Volvo for?

Many Thanks,

Daniel.

Pictures speak a thousand words...

Sounds like someone did a bodge job on the drivers door???

I think someone just recently posted a thread about the clips you require to hold the guard to the back of the load cover.

Hi Baffler,

I've managed to find the cover part in Vadis. So it's a genuine part.

It's just Vadis gives no clue as to the nut on the door to hold the cover in place.

I've ordered a replacement "cover" from Volvo at £8 just in case it's different.

Thanks for the help once more!

Any idea on where the clips thread was?

Many Thanks,

Daniel

It was actually your thread

Here's another recent thread regarding the dog guard clips/fitting kit.

The "Search this forum" tool is very good

Hi there,

I missed that thread on my search! Great.

I managed the roof mounts with very little trouble.

It's the lower mounts I don't have any screw holes for in the back of my seats.

I assume I just hang the dog guard and mark / drill them.

I'm actually trying to fit one of these:

This has clips, lower down in the side of the rear compartment. Again, I'm missing them.

Many Thanks,

Daniel.
