Slave cylinder- voiding warranty on flywheel and clutch
Hi
I had the clutch and dual mass flywheel replaced in August 21. Clutch went and garage advised to do dual mass flywheel. Just before Xmas slave cylinder went. The garage have called today to say that the slave cylinder has caused damage so need to replace the clutch and flywheel again. They say the parts are not under warranty as the providers say that the damage is caused by slave cylinder- therefore their parts are not defective and not covered. Garage says they are arguing with parts provider and waiting for decision. It will take 30 days so they recommend paying and if appeal is successful they will refund. Otherwise car sits as is (half done). Is this correct? RAC mechanic said they should have replaced slave cylinder when they did clutch and flywheel but I don’t know Anyone here know where I stand? It is a C30 November 2009 with about 105000 miles |
