Default Excessive oil in intercooler pipes?

Hi, I decided to clean my EGR valve and throttle body today and noticed that the intercooler hose and was fairly wet with oil even up to the throttle body.
I know some oil is normal through turbo leakage but how much is excessive indicting my turbo seals failing?

The egr and throttle body were fairly clogged but has never been cleaned in 120,000 miles.

Car is a 2012 s60 d3 pics show before and after cleaning and also the oil inside the intercooler outlet pipe.

Thanks

Alex

Did you notice any difference after cleaning the egr and hoses? Did you have a lack of performance before?
Thanks!

It's a common thing but not necessarily the turbo seals. More likely to be from the PCV which takes oil vapours from the engine and sends them through the turbo etc where ultimately they are consumed in the combustion chamber.

The vapours condense on the walls of the intake and over time build up. All cars do this to some degree.

In my xc60, the intake seal seep small amounts of oil. This in my experience is a Volvo thing.

From the photo's - that looks normal to me.

Oil does get in their from the engine breather and turbo, it would only be an issue if you are having to top up the engine oil say more than once or twice between services.
