Default C70 gt wheel options.

Hi, what wheels were available on mk1 c70 gt convertibles. I am looking at an 03 car and it has multi spoke wheels I have not seen on a c70 before and I wondered if they were standard. I had the kind of twisted blade wheels on last c70 I owned and my friend had big five spoke wheels also sometimes seen on v70 etc...

Also, was the lowered suspension standard on all gt t5?

I have my wee Mercedes for sale and feel it's time for another proper car!!

'03MY GT options were:

16'' Zeus and 17'' Comet wheels were a no cost option.
17'' Cratos were standard and 17'' Propus were a £200 upgrade. propus wheels are multi spoked with a small nut between every spoke creating a split rim look. I suspect the wheels you are looking at may be Propus.

Dynamic lowered suspension was a no cost option on the T5, so, no, not every T5 had lowered suspension.

Thanks, it's the Zeus ones that are on it. Cheaper tyres and a better ride I imagine!

The info I supplied is lifted straight from the '03 sales brochure and pricing guide. There is a footnote under the wheel specs that states the 16'' wheels will give a more comfortable ride than the 17''. No doubt that is true although my C70 has 17'' wheels and the ride is still super soft. Gorgeous cars and a proper luxury cruiser.

I owned an 02 2.0lpt and loved it but found it a bit wafty by the end, however, all my miles are dual carriageway nowadays and wafty would be good. I bought a small engined car after my beloved 940 for mpg but now realise the thirty quid a week I save would be better looked at as a legitimate expense given the amount of time I spend in.my car, so , a c70 is on agenda again!...erm, once I have sold my car...always a sticking point!

Our 53 plate C70 has the lowered sports suspension and is really very low, barely enough gap between tyre and wheel arch lip to get your hand in. It also has the optional OEM sports exhaust system and sounds fantastic!
