Default Need advice where to start M56

Hi @all,

after my 2003 2,5TAWD died just before christmas, i bought a 2001 V70 B5244S with manual gearbox M56, 300000km on the clock,
It's a fine car, service history through all the years is complete, but the reverse gear is hard to shift.
Clutch works fine.
So where to begin to make the shifting smoother?
Known problem with the VAG-Vehicles from the 90-2000 models, ther i got a repair kit witch all joints and rubbers...

Thanks for your advice and have a nice weekend

This car has nothing to do with VAG,
look at all of the engine mounts,
remove and look at the gearbox to subframe torque mount as the small bush fails,

Hi Dave,

for sure i know that the Volvos doesn't have any relations to VAG in this case.
It's my 8th Volvo over the years (745/945/V70II)
What i tried to say, that for VAG-Vehicles you get a overhoul-set for the whole kinetic between shifthandle and gearbox.
So let me ask another question:
in my Vadis there ist shown a rubber? at the end of the shiftstock. To look if it's damaged i need to remove the top of the stock, the handlebar. How do i do that? Is it screwd onto the stock or fixed otherwise?
Enginemounts i'll check next week, i changed the upper when i got the car.
All other mount i've bought further for my dead v70
