140 engine in my Amazon.....

My apologies for butting in, but the engine in my 1968 Amazon, number; 4968 50, seems to correlate to a B18A from a 140 series car, with an 85A cam.

I was told the engine had been replaced with the correct unit, but there was so much bad info on this car, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out this is also incorrect!

It seems to run very well with the twin carb setup, and I haven't yet got it to the rolling road, but any help with confirmation or otherwise of this engine would be greatly appreciated,

Brian your engine is from a 140 early 140s 1967 - 1968 had the 1800cc B18 being built for 120 Amazons at the same time. 4968 50 listed as a B18a 85BHP
