Lancaster, been with them quite a while now and the first 2 or 3 policies i had with them didn't have a NCB facility, then about 3-4 years ago it changed, because i hadn't had a claim they automatically applied whatever NCB i would have had - underwriters are Markerstudy which i believe (from what i've been told by them) is one of their own underwriters.

When mine comes up for renewal in August I'll get some normal quotes and classic quotes. See how they compare. Also I think there are a few apart from Admiral who do the multi Policies. I'm retired now and have the time so might as well.
Also I noticed in the owners club mag there is someone offering breakdown insurance for multi cars. That will need sorting at the same time. I got a good deal from Admiral in January for that as well. But will look around for that also.

Just paid mine today : £235 fully comp with £150 excess,
through the local broker who now take £27 for the privilege.

I'm happy with that, the previous two years have been cheaper.
Everyone with "proper" cars seem to spend way more than I do.

Dan ... I was with Flux for a period of 2 years once upon a time, but sorry to say it was a repeat of the usual experience with u/wriers/brokers ... up went the price after snagging you, and finally at the last renewal it was take the increase or leave (the phone people were totally uninterested) ... so, guess what I did... I left Flux, and got a far better deal elsewhere!! Sad but true!

Hi,my renewal has come through£193.00 f/comp 3k miles £150.00 excess £75.00 windscreen cover.My problem has always been I had a Reliant scimitar for ten years and it never cost more than £100.00.Oh well I should just accept that life moves on.Good job I have motor recovery with my bank account or I would be pulling my hair out(what little I have left)

Forgot to say my brokers cut of the 195 is £30.00

I'M with Santander, second year now, £56.00 first year £49.00 this year fully comp with extra's for a 1998 2.3 lpt auto, limited milage 3k, was with Hastings for 5 years crept up to £259, try a quote from Santander you might be pleasantly surprised

Is that for classic insurance?

Just to point out though, before people go trying Santander and get horrendously high quotes and have a go at you, lots of things can change the quote "including but not limited to" area/location/postcode, age, gender, occupation, driving history and a multitude of others including with many insurers it would seem, the results from the entrails of a sacrificial pygmy.

I might give Santander a go later.

I just tried Santander as my other car is due for renewal in the next week. They came out a fiver a year more than my present insurer. However, they don't appear to charge a "Policy Fee" like my current insurers, if i remove the Policy Fee from my existing renewal figure, my current insurers are £55 cheaper.

While this might seem a negative response, in fact it isn't, it's very positive as it's the best/closest quote i've had to my current figures from anywhere.

Well I paid £500 for third party fire and theft on my 1997 940 2.3 LPT auto with 15k miles and only 2 years No claims as a 23 year old so £190 is the stuff of dreams for me lol.
