Default Reverse light live

What colour wire is reverse light on pass side? At the bulb all i have is black earth?.. unless the live is in another place?fitting parking sensors and it needs to be connected to live wire..

I think this was mentioned a couple of times in your long brake light thread. It’s black but you can distinguish it from the earth wire because the reverse live has a plastic sheath over the spade connector and the earth does not. The earth also connects to the bodywork right on the edge of the access hole to the lamp cluster so if you’re in any doubt follow the wire back about eight inches. If it connects to an earthing stud then it’s earth. If it goes off into the wiring loom it’s probably live.

The earth is common to all the bulbs in the cluster and connects near the top of the long metal conductor that connects to all the bulbs.

IMHO a Volvo estate does not need reversing sensors. The rear visibility is good, the back is straight and the bumper is indestructible. 😁

Thanks.. i like them because where i have to park is very tight sometimes and id rather have them than a bill for repair 👍🏻... yes it was a long brake light thread but id like to think its contains some useful information and will be of use to others in the future .
