Default Shot blasting alloys

I've just bought some alloy wheels but think they might benefit from a clean up as there are signs of corrosion on them.

Can they be shot blasted, bead blasted or sand blasted?

Never use shot or sand. It cuts the hell out of the soft alloy.
Bead or vapour is the way to go.

I sent my Virgo rims to the local prison! They've got a workshop to keep the inmates busy, and for ca: 8£ a piece they bead blasted and powdercoated my rims -- no-one can compete with those prices, not here in Norway anyway. Imagine, parts of my car did time!
Try prisons, schools etc., could be worth the phonecall.
