I had 150 out of a £45 tank! around town stop start stuff.

usually get 300 from a £45 tank, and I drive a modified T5.

I think i have puchased the wrong car, I've always had mondeo's and no matter what i would get a min of 400 miles from a tank. It's going to ttake some getting use to only getting around 300 miles??? Sorry to sound dumb, but whats the difference with the T5 to the standard 2.0d

T5 is a notoriously thirsty 2.5 petrol turbo.

You should calculate your mileage carefully for a couple of tanks, and if it's way off get it into a garage - could be a blocked injector and causing the engine management to run rich or something.

I have a 2005 S40 2.0d. I get about 370 miles from full until the red light comes on.

I work out I get about 45-46 mpg.

Have to say at 80mph my T5 is more economical than my 2.0d was !!!!!!!!

2.0d only seems very good at 60mph or less.
