1994 850 estate. What three things don't I like?
1) Front wheel drive
2) Front wheel drive.
3) Front wheel drive.

If you can't have 4x4, then drive the back 'uns!

Default Ignition flaw??

I have been very impressed by my XC60, but there is one issue that alarms me...the ignition system.
I can't believe that you can remove the key fob from the ignition without cutting the engine.
If you pull up in a parking space, and forget to move from D to P, you can press the Start/Stop button (does not Stop the engine), you can remove the fob and get out - and the car will still be in gear and lurch forward, with possible dire consequences.
Now I know you will say that I am at fault for not moving into D, but these things can happen. On other marques which shall remain nameless, you CANNOT remove the fob with the car in D (and there must be a reason for this which escapes Volvo).
I have never driven a car before in which once the engine is started you can remove the key fob and the vehicle merrily continues on its way!
Perhaps it's just me, but I think it is an unnecessary safety flaw...

Your right, the fob can be removed and the engine/ gearbox work as normal, which could have safety implications.

The other side of the coin is that it has come in handy a couple of times when the wife needed the house key, whilst I was parking up- both car & house keys on same ring.

Just be sure you keep your wits about you when parking! I nearly rammed a wall today. I expect Volvo to be able to save me from myself!!

V70 R 1998
1 of 132 left on the road.
The only thing to dislike is the cost of fuel when you have a heavy right foot.

V70 2.5 10valve. Not had the car long but the only thing I really dislike are the absolute excuse for cup holders lol.
I also had to take to the dashboard with janitol and ambersil to get rid of the super shiny c&@p that the dealer has seen fit to lavish everywhere!
The glare was awesome!
Apart from that she is exactly what I was looking for.

Hello,

In my V50 2.4i SE there are three things I don't like:

1) the intermittent problem my car has

2) the mpg

3) that my seat doesn't hold onto me as well as the car holds onto a bend!

1996 850R estate......................love it to bits

biggest hang up though is turning circle.............................cant remember my old 850 2.5 being that poor

I can sympathise with the 940 horn people (my 940 had the posh wheel so not affected) my MG ZT's are just the same
