Also be super careful what you use to clean it as it scratches easier than anything else on the planet!! There's also no point polishing it out as someone will come and just scratch it again almost immediately!

I use very little sonax paint polish on interior/exterior piano black trim- it contains carnauba wax that helps keep fingerprints off and protect (a little..) from scratches..

Nice tip! If I let a car valet anywhere near any piano black trim it is shot to pieces in seconds again so I've given up a bit beyond just cleaning it but will keep that in mind!

Piano black plastic. Yuk! However I just wipe it lightly with a micro-fibre cloth and it shines like new. Same with the Sensus screen if fitted with the matt screen saver film.

Mine is now two years old and no scratch or swirl anywhere on the piano black. Be gentle with it!

Is that an official Volvo thing or did you source it yourself?

Oh its aftermarket thanks for the link that's a good idea will order one.

The screen scratches 10x less than the piano black trim next to it !!!

Also I know it would cost more but gorilla glass for the screen would be 20x better!!!

They have a few here so might order from here;

This is what I fitted, a matte anti-glare and finger print eliminating film from Brotect. Can't remember whether I bought it from Amazon here or ebay.

It is still in perfect scratch-free condition some 21 months after fitting and I wouldn't be without it. It makes such a difference at eliminating glare, reflection and grease marks.
