Default V50 1.6D Drive 2010

Just changed the engine in a V50 1.6D everything went as smooth as it could but now the car starts and immediately dies. Have been told that the fuel pressure is too high. I changed everything over from the old engine except the fuel pump which looked exactly the same. Anyone with any ideas could this be the problem. I did some research beforehand and found that this engine (exact same engine type as in a ford same engine type no. etc). Or am I missing something? Any help would be much appreciated.

Just curious why the old engine died. We still have my old 2009 V50 DRIVe in the family. 172k miles and going strong.
