I’ve no idea what diagnostics my garage use but theyre an independant Volvo specialist. As for the amount of fuel thats in, it only takes another £13 or £14 to fill it from the light being on so its probably not far off full. I was wondering if the main dealers diagnostics are any more definitive that whats available to the general public.

No they're not.
I sell main dealer level diagnostics for £100.
It requires a suitable laptop but I sell those also for an extra £145.
One of my several threads here.

think we're getting somewhere now. The auto electricians been to have a look at it today and has said it looks like an injector thats shorting out. When it shorts the ecu shuts the engine down. Also ties in with the codes that came up on the original scan.

new injector fitted and the cars been run static for hours and not missed a beat. Picked it up today and done about 60 miles so far, looks like the problems sorted.
