Default Why is my dash clock so bad at keeping time?

Does anyone else's dash clock keep track of time poorly? I swear by the end of each month that puppy is off by 5min. Not that I really care unless it is an symptom of upcoming doom for my DIM...

Yes. It really is incredibly annoying.

Funnily enough, the only thing that worked consistently on my old Vectra 1.9 CDTi was the dashboard clock which seemed to sync to the Greenwich pips.

DIMs seem to have a limitless repertoire of symptoms. Ours would scroll fast forward and sometimes stop at or nearly at the correct time. Temperature was a factor as it almost always happened on hot starts and running the a/c seemed to reduce it. It was the only DIM issue for a few years before I got it fixed as part of a belt and braces SRS module and steering wheel contact reel replacement.

Exactly the same as mine. Not usually enough to worry about , and of course I update it at the equinoxes.
