My AQS failed with an internal fault - I forget the code, and produced those symptoms. Removing it cleared the problems. Fitting the VW part brought the symptoms back. Hopefully the Hella part will work OK.

OK I'm back from my hols and I have fitted the Hella part. It works perfectly, so go ahead and order one and save many £s.

What MY is your Volvo? The AQS sensor varies by MY, there are at least 2 types available

Hi, seems I've got the same problem. AQS failed last year, didn't make any difference to anything other than I don't like the fault code there.
Fitted a VW one, problem solved. This week, passenger side blows cold air only, windscreen demister only blows on drivers side, passenger side heated seat doesn't work. Tried a re-calibration on the damper motors, VIDA just freezes up (over 45 mins). Fault codes: CCM-DD00 LIN bus Incorrect Data CCM-0073 Configuration Fault , Calibration not done CCM 0040 AQS Internal Fault. Think after reading your posts I'll disconnect the AQS before I start ripping the dashboard out! |

Yep, as Jmonag says, they are definitely AQS faults.
I ended up just fitting the old genuine faulty Volvo sensor back in a few years ago. I can live without the sensor working properly, its not too important to me. |

OK gents, this morning I've refitted the original faulty sensor.
Problem solved, heat to the passenger side again, passenger seat heaters working properly, windscreen demisting fully! Thanks for the advice, my next step would have been to start stripping out damper motors! |
