Worth noting that sometime between 2006 & 2007, Volvo changed the door mirrors, mine is an 07 with indicator repeaters on the mirrors, most 2006 appear to have repeater lamps on the front wing.
You need the correct mirrors + the software + the switch that mounts underneath the climate panel.

Thanks guys, mine is the 56 plate, mirrors with the indicators on them, i would have preferred the switch on the drivers door panel for ease of access but that i feel would be a major undertaking, i may however consider placing the switch in easier reach, i find folding the mirrors a very useful feature, more so around here where the roads are thinner, i used the option all the time in the Laguna and feel its needed even more with the, what feels like, wider V70.
That was my initial thought, bypass the ecu and wire directly to a on/off switch, the auto side of things is not important to me as i am used to not having it, but i will evaluate all options, at least i know its not an impossible task, retro fitting them
