Yup I’d agree, I spent a few bob on a twin cylinder compressor with 14cfm and a maximum 8+bar pressure, added a second tank just to keep it off the motor for as long as possible (70+ltrs)... when I use my micro air die grinder at full pelt it just about tops up the tanks and powers the die grinder that requires around 2-3cfm at 90psi...
Struggled to figure out why until I watched that video...

Biggest issue with air tools is bore of air hose , the smaller the bore & the quicker air flow drops off & power diminishes . The small couplings fitted as standard also limit airflow .
Try supergluing your lips & one nostril shut , then try running ,,, you will get the idea real quick

I’m glad I opted for an electric impact wrench rather than spending good money on one of those domestic air compressors. My 18V cordless Makita DTW285Z is only rated at about 200 ft-lbs but I have yet to encounter the bolt it cannot undo and that includes some well-rusted strut mountings on the VW. I use it a lot for undoing wheel nuts but not for tightening them other than on its softest setting and then finishing off with a torque wrench when the wheel is back on the ground.

Ultimately it all depends what you’re doing and the size of the task when you need your powered tool.

Something that would help but isn't always cheap is an additional air reciever close to where you're actually working with large bore air hose not only for the tools but also to link it to the main compressor reciever. I've got an old Calor gas bottle (15kg) that i keep threatening to convert for this purpose, might get round to it by the time another 8 years have passed!
