V70 dog guard
Anyone know how to remove said dog guard from roof mountings without damage please ? Both the struts have lost oomph and the thing rattles when on the move. Thanks in anticipation. Cliff.

There are little clips that poke through each ball joint (4 of them), pop them off and store somewhere safe (as new ones sometimes don't come with them), you can then pop off the struts with your finger or a flat screwdriver (careful of paint!).
The guard itself, unscrew both thumb screws, tip guard up into boot and pull those thumb screws towards teh centre, guard will come away easily. For me I remove it sometimes with no tools, just unscrew each of the rams from the ball joint and then pop the screws and ditch the guard for more storage space. takes less than 1 minute. New rams are £15 each from scandisc Undo Redo Decrease Size Increase Size |
