I know they are good, hence my signature. I know these engines like the back of hand and really appreciate their build quality and value. Im certainly not saying the car isn't worth the money as a whole, because it definitely is but the dealers blurb really irritates me when factually wrong and just plain bull turd.

OP/green v70 looks a bit tattier than most, not the highest mileage by a long way. When I was looking for mine i was struggling to find any in the north/scotland that had under 300/350k, came across a P2 D5252t with 450k, drove absolutely fine, interior looked and smelled like the guy had been living in it the past few years.

For £5/600 even a worn one is good really, when you consider a 2000 1.6 focus sells for the same money.

Or it was just an error.......

Tell you what I will pull the thread then!

Really ****es me off with certain comments.

The car is a bargain at that price, I didn't ask for anyone to correct the advert. For someone in the know then they know what a V70 TDi is.....

If anyone has sensible questions then fire away.

No I'm not the dealer selling it.

Ive seen quite a few cars with these engines go to 400-500k as long as you service them, this guys car is proof of that.

+ YouTube Video

I also saw a v70 d5 with 450k on it and a massive stack of receipts on gumtree, i like the d5 but i didnt think they were as robust as d52s i guess that shows if looked after they are good for high mileage too.

As long as its not a heap thats been thrashed like most of the old diesel 940s then i wouldn't expect to pay much less than £500-600, ebay seems full of ph1 v70 diesels that look good for spares and not much else, not seen a nice 850 tdi for a while either.

It's certainly not a shed/nail. Never let us down, didn't use a drop of oil or water.

Still for sale

Has it sold now? The link just shows me a car dealer's site, with no V70 on it.
