Default 24 month 3 Internet to replace Vodaphone

I’ve just received the 24gb 24month internet with legs Sim from Amazon to replace the expired 12 month free Vodaphone p-sim that the car came with. Question is, do I just swap them over and it will work or do I need to activate it somehow........found some info where 3 will send me a code......but how do I read that message as it’s not associated with a phone?...Confused!

Ah, just read on other threads and it appears that, unlike Vodaphone setup, the 3 sim will be just ‘plug and play’ ...... living in hope!

I've been using these Three SIM cards since 2017. One thing I do before putting the SIM in the car is, register with Three network, so that you get an account with Three. This lets you see the usage and remaining allowances on their website. I do this by putting the SIM first in an old phone, as Three sends a code for registrtation. Of course, this is completely optional.

or, if you download maps off line and don't use likes of spotify etc.., get one of these and pay nothing:

https://www.three.co.uk/Free_SIM_MBB/Order

I've used this for a couple of years without any problem and it provides just enough connectivity.

Wow, why can’t everything be that simples! No fuss, no messages back and forth, no hassle with passwords, reset usage on Sensus and we’re off for another 24 months.
And the sim is on Amazon on offer for £36!

Thanks for the replies guys.

I’ve never registered my 3 sim, just reset the data usage in the car settings before you insert it you can then keep an eye on it via Sensus.
