Default v70R k&n 57i

i recently fitted a k&n 57i kit to my v70R 1997,it sounds like i have fitted a dump valve!! i know its obviously sucking more air in but wasn't expecting that.. is it normal and will it damage anything??very grateful if someone could advise.

Did the same to my 98 T4 all you are hearing is the recirc valve on the turbo, your original airbox and air filter would have muffeld this,so nothing to worry about.
