Climate set at 23

Hi, I have to have my climate set at 23 in order for it to blow hot.
It blows cold when turned down and hotter when turned up. I don't think 23 is normal as im not a cold person. I find it does blow warm when a little lower but then starts blowing cool air after. Even at 23 i tend to find once up to temp i have to put it in manual as it starts blowing cooler air.

I don't think it can blow mixed air. It blows hot, or cold (i mean, outside ait temp), but it cannot do both at the same time. So it alternates them, to maintain temperature. If you left it long enough, you'd find it'll blow hot air from time to time as it maintains temperature, but it keeps the air moving for humidity reasons.

Humidity is a big factor. You really can't rely on your own senses for what is hot or cold, since humidity will fool you. The reverse is also true, for air-conditioning.

The long and the short of it is; What you have described is the climate control functioning properly. Are you ever too hot or too cold?

The action of the aircon of alternately blowing hotter and colder is, as previously mentioned, correct. However perhaps you do have a sensor fault that allows it to oscillate too much, and it is a varying temperature that most people seem to find particularly uncomfortable more than one that is consistently a bit too hot or too cold.
Perhaps get yourself a thermometer and see what the temperature really is in the car. Or, you could even get a maximum and minimum thermometer and record a whole journey to see how much it varies.

I have found that if you want 'only' heating then it is best to switch off both the climate control AND the a/c. Your heating system will work akin to all the non a/c cars directly controlled by the heating controls.

Beware though that, as stated, you will lose the humidity control and initially suffer HUGE misting problems as the a/c purges out all the retained moisture. Ironically you may have to open your windows to clear it!

Is it posible that the cabin temp sensor is either broken/fluffed up/intake fan stuck and not drawing in (due to crud)? I had similar symptoms, cleaned the intake fan that was stuck and all back ok.
