Default Stuck boot lid

Hi, have had my C70 2006 for 2 weeks and am having a problem. Can't get roof up as states it needs servicing but I am wondering if this is because the boot won't open, have to manually open it with the key. Is there a specific fuse for the boot and if so where is it? Also the switch for accessing the boot when the roof is open is also not working.

Usualy the cables are to be blamed or the switch... But the lock itself can die too... Connect a VIDA/DICE and try open the boot from software.. If it works than cabkes are fine

May be a long shot but a few months ago my c70 boot wouldn't open, turned out to be a battery problem. The car started and all seemed fine but the problem was linked to the battery somehow and dodgy/old batteries can throw up all kind of strange faults.

Try disconnecting the battery and charging it overnight. Strangely this solved my problem so invested in a new battery!

Might not be your problem but will cost nothing to try...
