Have you looked at the xenon bulb though? I bet it's still a movable shade in there. My old range rover was the same

I havnt looked at the bulb since this issue. But they are only 2 months old and I don't remember seeing a moveable shade on it when i fitted it. It's the D2R type bulb. It was all just a solid bit of long glass with a piece of wire running through the glass and a metal band on the outside which I believe all D2R xenon bulbs have as they are designed for reflector headlights to reduce glare.

Hi,i dont think that it's the "shade" as it's being called which actually move's but the light unit it's self that move's.

Do you know anyone near you who has a dice/vida that can look at the issue for you?.

I will of course stand corrected if i'm wrong.

I think the actual light housing moves like you said with the R lights. Don't think anything "happens" to the bulb it self.
I was thinking of buying a dice/vida unit but have spent far too much money this month on other bits and bobs. So if there is anyone in Oxfordshire or sorounding counties that could help that would be great. I'd be prepared to meet somewhere in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, area.

Kimmy...

Did you ever resolve this issue?

I have the exact same problem with mine except it's the offside lamp unit that appears to have the issue...

Hello,

Yes local dealer sorted it. They re calibrated the lights at first, which didn't solve it. They then found a cable had come off somewhere behind the bumper.
Not sure exactly what cable, but it was fine ever since.

Default XC70 leveling problem

My driver side is having this issue.

It doesn't move up and down on start up. At first I thought it was the small motor but replaced that and it didn't work.

Any tips?

Did you ever resolve this problem. My 2012 V60 SE Lux the offside headlight has gone to the low setting, nearside does the up and down "dance" but not the offside, was OK a week or so ago but has not been moved the last couple days.
